Corporate intranet for a public-sector energy company

A public-sector energy company kept its employee and contractor database current by hand. Someone was constantly updating records, the information lived in scattered places, and enterprise communication had no single home.

I built the intranet as part of a consultancy engagement, covering the SharePoint structure, the automation behind it, and the React features on top.

I centralized everything on an ordered SharePoint site, then automated the part that ate the most time: keeping the employee and contractor directory current, so it maintains itself instead of being hand-updated.

On top of that I built personalized features in React through webhooks, like automatic birthday cards for staff, so the intranet felt like a place people wanted to visit rather than another database.

The directory stays current on its own, administrative upkeep dropped by roughly 30%, and enterprise communication finally had one home the whole company actually used.
